01 The Moon – close up with large telescope (HQ)
Some close up shots of the Moon from my back yard in Terrace, B.C. Canada.
Seeing conditions were below average. Transparency was poor with some thin high cloud. 12.5″ Newt/Dob f/4.8 (30mm e.p. filmed with a Canon ZR-80)
Still, it was nice to finally get the scope out. Viewing from the eyepiece is always better than my camera will show.
Did you see the happy face?

Telescope views of Saturn the Sun and Moon Terrace BC
Some photos and video I have taken from by back yard in Terrace BC. All photos and video are hand held, unguided shots through a custom made 12.5″ Newt/Dob Telescope. The mirror is from http://www.galaxyoptics.com
Close-ups were taken with a 5mm Pentax SMC XW-5 eyepiece. The camera doesn’t do justice to what you see live at the eyepiece, but I hope you still enjoy the view…
